I wanted to take a little step back in time to tell you in more detail what happened to me in 2016.
I had already told you that I went through a rather dark phase at the time.
For those who intuitively or scientifically understand the link between the psyche and the body, you will understand me. Indeed, nothing happens for nothing. Imagine that it was at the end of a huge conflict with someone close to me (I'm not sayin' no name ;-), that I was taken by an intense crisis of eczema.
Who the hell has ever had eczema right in their eyes?! Guys, that's how the fight started in my body!
Then it spread to my arms, neck, face… for almost 2 years!!
Now I can say it: it was constant and total depression.
Rain or shine, I always walked around in either a turtleneck or a kangaroo sweater, long sleeves and sunglasses.
It was my new identity. Incognito.
Of course, it didn't always work because I would get curious when my gear wasn't "in season."
As if that wasn't enough, during a trip during this same period, a lady on the plane told me to try Neostrata as a shock treatment and then switch to natural products. Shortly after, I met a dermatologist who recommended a cold turkey treatment for a month (no toothpaste, deodorant, detergent, soap, cream, shampoo, etc.). I even corrected my diet (no more canned foods and processed foods, watch out for dairy products and cold cuts; increase in whole grains, fruits and vegetables). My washing was now done with vinegar and I used bicarbonate for several purposes. No more air freshener capsules to make the house smell good; I boiled water with cinnamon to flavor my home.
This famous cure made me explore avenues that were unknown to me in order to find the ingredients that best suited my skin and hair. After a lot of trial and error, I ended up making my own soap, shampoo and skin cream.
Anyway, that was my little story. We all experience drama to varying degrees and in many spheres. Which will lead me to talk to you soon about my friend Myriam.
To be continued…
