It can have a significant impact on the quality of life of those who suffer from it, both physically and psychologically. One may experience constant itching, social embarrassment when exposing oneself and even a change in self-esteem.
Although there is no definitive cure, there are still several medical treatment options and therapies that exist to relieve symptoms and improve our quality of life as well as the appearance of our skin.
I know someone who suffered terribly from psoriasis in the form of thick crusts on the scalp. She had patches that could be removed by hand. So what she and I did was start doing Ayurveda treatments since it is composed of roots and leaves forming a beautiful "mud" that can be left on the scalp and which penetrates well unlike oil which slides or water which evaporates.
I suggest you use Ayurvedik between shampoo and conditioner.
For those who do not use conditioner, I suggest doing a first shampoo, followed by the Ayurvedik, and finishing with a second shampoo. Just to make sure to get rid of any residue from the treatment.
By the way, it's not always "necessary" to use conditioner depending on how mild the ingredients in your shampoo are. We can talk about the conditioner myth again eventually.
What I really wanted to tell you is to stay optimistic throughout your process and to seek support from those around you.
In the meantime, take good care of yourself both inside and out!
Sincerely,
Pink
